1. Who we are (legal notice)
This website, homefinance.coach, and the services described below are provided by:
- Owner: [name or company, pending]
- Tax ID (NIF/CIF): [pending]
- Address: [pending]
- Email: alberto@homefinance.coach
By using this website or creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2. What HomeFinance offers
HomeFinance helps people organise their household finances and start investing on their own. It offers information and articles, one-to-one coaching sessions, free online tools, a free account, and the HomeFinance App, a desktop application that keeps your financial data on your own computer and connects to this website through an API.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- The information you give us must be accurate, and your account is for your personal use only.
- Keep your password and your API keys secret. You are responsible for what is done with them; revoke a key from your profile if you think it has been exposed.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the service. You can ask us to close your account at any time.
4. Not financial advice
HomeFinance provides financial education, coaching on method and process, and tools. It does not provide investment advice: we do not give personalised recommendations to buy, sell or hold specific financial products, and we are not an investment firm or adviser authorised by the Spanish securities regulator (CNMV).
Every investment decision is yours. Investing involves risks, including the loss of the money invested, and past returns do not guarantee future returns. If you need personalised advice, consult an authorised adviser.
5. Research data and tools
Information about funds, deposits, brokers and other products is provided for information only. It may be incomplete or out of date, and its inclusion is not an endorsement or a recommendation. Check the conditions with the provider before deciding. If we ever receive a commission from a provider, we will say so next to the product.
The free tools (for example the file converter, the assistant and the documents it generates) are provided "as is". Check their results before relying on them.
6. HomeFinance App and API
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use the HomeFinance App on your own computers.
- Your financial data stays on your computer: the app only uses this website to link your account and to download reference data (such as currencies, exchange rates and market prices). Keeping backups of your data is your responsibility.
- You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or overload the app or the API, or use them to extract data on a large scale. We may limit or block abusive use.
- Early (alpha) versions may contain errors and may change without notice.
7. Sessions and payments
Coaching sessions are booked through a third-party calendar (TidyCal). The specific conditions of each session (price, format and cancellation) are agreed before it takes place.
If paid plans are offered on this website in the future, their price, renewal, cancellation and your right of withdrawal will be shown clearly before you pay.
8. Intellectual property
The content of this website (texts, images, logos, design and software) belongs to HomeFinance or its licensors, and you may not reuse it without permission, except to share links or short quotes that name the source.
If you publish content on the site, such as blog comments, you remain its owner and allow us to show it on the site. We may remove content that is illegal, offensive or off-topic.
9. Liability
We work to keep the website and the tools accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that they will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on the content, sessions or tools, nor for losses resulting from your investments.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and the Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD). Our privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date and version at the top of this page show the current text. If a change is significant, we will tell registered users by email before it applies. We keep a record of the version each user accepted when creating their account.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring any claim before the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence within the European Union.
For any question about these terms, write to alberto@homefinance.coach.
